Venture secures Telecom Valley office http://www.NorthBayBusinessJournal.com © 2004 North Bay Business Journal STAFF REPORT SANTA ROSA, January 23, 2004 -- A Singapore-based electronics service provider has found space for its Telecom Valley team at Basin Street Properties' Oak Valley Business Center north of Santa Rosa. Venture Design Services Inc., a member of Venture Corporation Ltd. (SGX: Venture) has inked a three-year lease for 3,400sf of office space at the development, located on Aviation Boulevard near Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport. Barry Palma of Orion Partners represented Venture in the deal, and Mike Flitner and Shawn Johnson of Keegan & Coppin represented Petaluma-based Basin Street. As the BUSINESS JOURNAL reported in October, Venture's local unit is led by former Agilent employee Bob Armantrout. The local team, consisting of more than a dozen initially, will pursue opportunities in radio frequency and telecom technology development, he told the Journal. Venture has entered an agreement with Agilent Technologies to further develop Agilent's wireless network optimization tools. Venture reported revenues of $2.37 billion in 2002 and has more than 20 subsidiaries with operations in Asia, North America, and Europe.
